Out of the closet at warp factor 0.0001
At the slightly advanced age of 68, George Takei -- Star Trek's Mr Sulu -- has revealed that he is gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Takei's announcement is a boon, surely, to the harridans of the hard-right blogosphere. Maggie Gallagher, for example, can write a post at Eugene Volokh's explaining why it is vitally important that Takei and his partner of 18 years be forbidden to marry. And Michelle Malkin can explain why it was vitally important that the US government stick Takei in an internment camp from the ages of 4 to 8.
